Here is the latest Checklist for your blog as of May 21st. New assignments and posts with upcoming due dates are in bold.

Management

All group members have been added as Administrators.
All group members have made at least one post.
All posts are Categorized.
Links to pages are visible at the top or side of the page.

Design

Theme – Header image and Blog title have been customized to represent your country’s culture.
Blogroll – Important links for your research are listed here.
Sidebar – You have customized several widgets on your sidebar.

Content

Post Categories

Current Events – You should have at least 7 posts in this category with a link to the news article.
Tourism – You should have 1 tourism post that includes a video about your country and a link to the official tourism site.
Language Arts -Each student should post their Information Text Analysis.
Social Studies – The Venn Diagram, Acrostic Poem and Article Summary are posted as separate posts with a title.
PE – The Factbook assignment is posted.
Beyond Expo – The Planning Template should be attached as a link on this post.
ESL – Level 1&2 are posting their Biography
ESL – Level 3 are posting their Major Religions and Fable assignments.
EXPO Day – You need to include a picture of your Google Sketch up or Model of your pavilion and a picture of your actual pavilion taken during your expo day, no one should be in the picture.

Pages

Country Profile – This information can appear as a separate page or on your sidebar
Global Citizenship – The Human Rights Report is due this and should be posted to the blog.
Social Studies Page- Ambassador Letter, Timeline and Key issues are posted on this page.
Science – The Factoid assignment is published on this page.
Math – Statistical Analysis and graphs, upload your document to the page.
Drama – The Expo Drama component about the cultural arts is displayed on this page

Beyond Expo Due Date

The Beyond Expo Video is due on Monday, May 26th. You must submit one copy to Mr. Dilworth’s Dropbox and have a copy to display on the laptop during the EXPO.

Beyond Expo Planning Template

In order to organize how your group will film and edit the Beyond Expo movie, the Computer Studies Students will complete this Planning Template and set meeting times for the group. You will need to complete the template and have it posted to your blog by Friday, May 16th.

We will begin working on the introduction sequences for the Beyond Expo videos today. Here are some additional resources for music and images.

Flickr Creative Commons has millions of high quality images to choose from, remember to give credit to the original authors.

Jamendo offers music downloads under the Creative Commons license.

Soundsnap has thousands of high quality sound effects available in mp3 format which can be added as an audio track to your movies.

Traditional Stone Jumping

This is a remarkable activity that Fergus shared with us during class today. It is a traditional activity practiced in the south of Indonesia.
