Blog Checklist




The blogs are looking great, everyone has been doing a fantastic job of finding new ways to display information and customize their sites. Here is the updated Checklist for your blog. Your blog will be checked for these items during the second class next week.

Management

  • All group members have been added as Administrators.
  • All group members have made at least one post.
  • All posts are Categorized.
  • Links to pages are visible at the top or side of the page.

Design

  • Theme – Header image and Blog title have been customized to represent your country’s culture.
  • Blogroll – Important links for your research are listed here.
  • Sidebar – You have customized several widgets on your sidebar.

Content

Post Categories

  • Current Events – You should have at least 5 posts in this category with a link to the news article.
  • Tourism – You should have 1 tourism post that includes a video about your country and a link to the official tourism site.
  • Language Arts -Each student should post their Information Text Analysis.
  • Social Studies – The Venn Diagram, Acrostic Poem and Article Summary are posted as separate posts with a title.
  • PE – The Factbook assignment is posted.

Pages

  • Country Profile – This information can appear as a separate page or on your sidebar
  • Global Citizenship – The Human Rights Report is posted here.
  • Social Studies Page- Ambassador Letter, Timeline and Key issues are posted on this page.
  • Science – The Factoid assignment is published on this page.
  • Math – Statistical Analysis and graphs, upload your document to the page.

    what if we’ve embedded an RSS feed of news from that country?
    do we still need to post current events?

    (CNN provides RSS feeds and news about almost all of the EXPO countries.
